My sister Kris had this conversation with her 6 year old the other day...
Ben: "Mom, do animals get married?"
Kris: "No, only people do."
Ben: "Then how do they have babies?"
Kris: "Well, they do get married...but they don't have weddings."
Wow...what we have to go through to teach our children the all important moral values.
Someday Ben will know it's possible, yes, to not be married and have babies; but for now, I think this is the best answer for his young inquisitive and innocent precious mind.
